As we look for more ways to have fun while we stay home, the streaming universe will keep you entertained. There are many classics to enjoy in January, along with a few new TV shows. Here are the best streaming picks to watch this month.

Shrek — Hulu, Jan. 1

This isn’t your normal fairytale, but it might be the greatest one ever told. A grumpy ogre must rescue a princess for a lord in order to save his swamp. On his quest, he has his “noble steed” — a Donkey — and he learns a thing or two about love.

Nanny McPhee — Peacock, Jan. 1

Seven mischievous children tend to drive away every nanny hired by their widowed father with their pranks and other antics. When a magical governess appears, they realize they need her more than ever to keep their family together.

Night at the Museum — Hulu, Jan. 1

Larry (Ben Stiller) receives a night guard job at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Little does he know, the museum artifacts come to life. The 2006 film has grown into a movie franchise with two sequels and possibly another one on the way for Disney+.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial  — Peacock, Jan. 1

If you’re ready for your kids to watch some of your favorite childhood movies, E.T. is a great place to start. A boy discovers a friendly alien and it’s up to him to help E.T. return to his home world.

Gabby’s Dollhouse — Netflix, Jan. 5

The newest Netflix Jr. show in 2021 follows Gabby and the magical adventures in her dollhouse. Preschoolers can follow along as Gabby shrinks down in size to explore the amazing dollhouse with adorable kitty friends. 

WandaVision — Disney+, Jan. 15

Taking place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the new Marvel series follows Wanda Maximoff and Vision living in the suburbs. As they live through the decades of TV family sitcom tropes, they slowly begin to realize that something isn’t right.

Elena of Avalor: Season 4 — Disney+, Jan. 15

The final season of Elena of Avalor is coming to Disney+. The series follows Princess Elena, who will find her place in the kingdom and learn how to rule as queen. Families will be excited to finally see her Coronation Day.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 2 — Netflix, Jan. 22

Dinosaur fans will be excited to learn that Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is already back with a new season! The animated series follows a group of teenagers as they experience a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar.
